We began with the dream of lifetime, impeccable Chardonnay from a beloved family vineyard, an incredible winemaker & sommelier and a goal to make a true Champagne style sparkling wine with the highest levels of craftsmanship and patience.
With enticing hues and the finest perlage, M Sparkling is a dance on the palate, with crisp bosc pear and meyer lemon notes that make way to a lacey mid palate texture. The stunning layers of flavors from tirage bring a kiss of chantilly cream and brioche on the finish. Only 185 cases of this vintage gem produced.
About Vintner Meghan Vergara
Meghan began her wine journey falling in love with wine at a young age and becoming a Certified Sommelier while living in NYC. Realizing this was only the beginning, she moved to Napa Valley to immerse herself in hands on experiences and to learn more about wine production, where her path in wine thrived. After moving away to Southern California to start her family, she quickly saw the opportunity to begin her business, Veritas Consultants, offering Wine Events, Education & Consulting for wine brands in the digital space. As this grew more successful, she realized it was time to stop waiting and build the dream of becoming a Vintner herself, which had always been something that seemed unattainable. With the help of some wonderful friends in the wine business and huge amounts of determination she was able to achieve her life long dream of moving back to wine country and to start making wine. Everything that goes into M is fueled with passion, dedication, and the stuff of dreams. We hope you enjoy.
Elke Vineyard
Our pristine Chardonnay is sourced from the family owned Donnelly Creek Ranch, also known as the Elke Vineyard in Anderson Valley. This family is regarded for their prestige in grape growing, heritage and for being leaders in sustainability. The Elke vineyard is family owned by Mary Elke and her son with legendary clients such as Roederer, Goldeneye, Mumm, Saintsbury and County Line wines.
The cool climate lends itself perfectly for prime Chardonnay & Pinot Noir that is exactly what any world class sparkling wine house is looking for.
about winemaker Dan Person
Dan is a veteran sparkling wine producer who worked in France before returning to Schramsberg in Napa Valley. Dan is highly skilled and extremely passionate about producing sparkling wine in California that is the quality of Champagne but true to its riper California style and heritage. He believes in cultivating the best of the sunshine and ripeness we receive here and combining that with the highest-level production techniques resulting in incredible sparkling wines. Dan now owns and operates the beloved Carboniste brand based in Sonoma, which is where M Sparkling was made.
Sustainability
- With this in mind, M Sparkling was produced from family run vineyard known to be leaders in organics.
- Design of the bottle was thoughtfully done by eliminating foil.
- We chose a design using recycled paper labels and a neck adornment on top which reduces our carbon footprint while introducing a stylish new look for sparkling!
- We purchased corks and capsules from Amorim Cork America, which is a global leader in producing regenerative wine closures at the highest level of quality.
